Upstate Wine Country

We're continuing to expand. And, yes, we're truly bi-state-al now!

When our company was created in 2006 to support & promote the growing wine industry in Northeastern Pennsylvania, our original name -- NEPA Wine Country -- was a perfect fit. Then, a year ago, we followed the advice of some of our avid festival supporters to add events on the New York State side of the border as well. The response we received from potential sites we visited was so positive & welcoming that we immediately started the process to change our name to Upstate Wine Country (thereby allowing us to comfortably straddle the state border and celebrate both "Upstate PA" and "Upstate NY").

The resulting events we added to our line-up in 2012 -- our inaugural Greek Peak Wine Festival in Cortland and our inaugural Chenango Wine Festival in Norwich -- were so warmly received that we began entertaining other recommended Empire State venues as well. At the same time, we kept a watchful eye on the many breweries & distilleries on both sides of the border that were opening and/or preparing to open.

Today, we proudly work to promote and unify the wineries, breweries & distilleries located throughout both Eastern Pennsylvania and Central New York State. Our primary regions envelop 11 counties in "Upstate PA" and six counties in "Upstate NY" but our expanded region also supports Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia metro, Capital District, Pennsylvania Dutch territory, Central PA, and the Northern Tier, and New York State's Southern Tier, Finger Lakes region, Thousand Islands area, and Western Catskills.

The "new" Upstate Wine Country will be producing about a dozen fun wine & beer (and perhaps spirits, too!) festivals in 2013 -- some in Pennsylvania, some in New York State.

Regardless of our name, we continue to be proud to be this area's only professional event planning/event management company to specialize in creating a series of top-quality, casually-sophisticated outdoor festivals year-after-year.
